Evaluation-criteria

Key criteria for submitting a tender response.

Before submitting a tender response for either Government or Private sector bids, it is important to note that, apart from having the necessary operational capabilities and experience to render the required services that you wish to tender for, one would need to comply with certain compulsory evaluation criteria in order to be considered during the evaluation process.

  1. Valid company registration documents and particulars of Directors;
  2. Valid Tax Clearance Certification;
  3. Letter of Good Standing with the Department of Labour for Unemployment Insurance Fund;
  4. Letter of Good Standing with the Department of Labour for Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases;
  5. Valid BBBEE Accreditation;
  6. Proof of experience and capabilities; and
  7. Accreditation (industry specific)

Each bid is unique and will contain the required compulsory evaluation criteria, special conditions of the contract, and general conditions of the contract which bidders should ensure they are aware of before submitting their tender proposal. Before submitting your completed tender response, conduct due diligence in order to ensure that you have completed and included all the relevant information required.

Where companies wish to bid for certain services but do not have enough experience in the field or other required criteria at the time of the bid closing date, the company can consider subcontracting to, or entering into a joint venture, or consortium with other qualified companies in order to gain experience for future tenders.
